Weekly Bannerbear Report Sent to Notion
A weekly n8n workflow rolls up all your Bannerbear generated images from the last 7 days into a summary, then has Notion create a new page in a Notion database so your team never has to dig for the numbers.
- 1
Fetch Bannerbear data
Add an
HTTP Requestnode (or the native Bannerbear node if you have credentials set up) and point it at the Bannerbear API. Run on a weekly Schedule Trigger and fetch this week's generated images. Add aSchedule Triggerbefore it if this recipe runs on a timer, or aWebhooknode if Bannerbear can push events directly. - 2
Shape the data with a Set node
Add a
Setnode after the fetch step to pull out the fields you need — e.g.id,title(orname),status, andupdated_atfrom the Bannerbear generated image. This keeps the rest of the workflow clean and readable. - 3
Send it to Notion
Add a
Notionnode set to resourceDatabase Page, operationCreate. Connect your integration, pick the targetDatabase, and map the Set-node fields to your database properties. - 4
Activate and test
Click
Activatein the top-right corner. Trigger a real generated image in Bannerbear (or run the workflow manually against existing data) and confirm it lands correctly in Notion. Once verified, this runs hands-off.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to code anything?
No. n8n is a visual, drag-and-drop builder. You connect your Bannerbear and Notion accounts, map the fields, and activate — no code required.
Where do I get my Bannerbear API credentials?
In your Bannerbear account settings, look for "API", "Developers" or "Integrations" and generate an API key or token. Paste it into n8n's HTTP Request node (as a header or credential) or the native Bannerbear node if one is available.
Can this run on a schedule instead of in real time?
Yes — swap the trigger for a `Schedule Trigger` set to whatever interval fits (every 15 minutes, hourly, daily). The rest of the workflow stays the same.
