    Add the Jotform Trigger node

    Start with a Jotform Trigger node — connect your Jotform API key and pick the Form to watch. n8n receives each submission as it happens. This fires the workflow the moment a new submission arrives.

    Map the fields with a Set node

    Add a Set node after the trigger to shape the data cleanly. Create fields: name to {{ $json.rawRequest.q3_name }}, email to {{ $json.rawRequest.q4_email }}, and submitted_at to {{ $now.toISO() }} — match the qN_ keys to your form. This turns the raw payload into tidy values your destination can use.

    Send it to Google Sheets

    Add a Google Sheets node set to operation Append Row. Connect your Google account, choose the Spreadsheet and Sheet (e.g. a Log tab), and map each field from the Set node to a matching column. Make sure row 1 of your sheet has headers with the same names.

    Activate and test

    Click Activate in the top-right of the canvas. Trigger a test submission in Jotform, then confirm it appears in Google Sheets. Once it works, you're done — every new submission now flows through automatically.

Do I need any coding skills to set this up?

No. n8n is a visual, drag-and-drop tool. You connect your Jotform and Google Sheets accounts, point the nodes at the right form/sheet/channel, map the fields, and activate. No code required.

Can I filter which submissions get sent to Google Sheets?

Yes. Add an `IF` node between the Set node and the Google Sheets node with a condition (for example, only send when an amount is above a threshold or a field equals a value). Wire the TRUE branch to Google Sheets and leave FALSE empty to skip the rest.

Can I send each submission to more than one place at once?

Absolutely. Branch the workflow after the Set node: connect it to multiple destination nodes so the same submission lands in Google Sheets and, say, Slack or a spreadsheet simultaneously.
