Connect RSS to Airtable — Send Each New Feed item Instantly
Every time a new RSS feed item comes in, n8n instantly captures the details and create a new record in Airtable — no manual exports, no missed data, no code.
- 1
Add the RSS Feed Read Trigger node
Start with a
RSS Feed Read Triggernode — paste the feed URL into theFeed URLfield and set a polling interval (e.g. every 15 minutes). The node emits each new item once. This fires the workflow the moment a new feed item arrives. - 2
Map the fields with a Set node
Add a
Setnode after the trigger to shape the data cleanly. Create fields:titleto{{ $json.title }},linkto{{ $json.link }}, andpublishedto{{ $json.isoDate }}. This turns the raw payload into tidy values your destination can use. - 3
Send it to Airtable
Add an
Airtablenode set to operationCreate. Connect your Airtable token, pick theBaseandTable, and map the fields from the Set node to your Airtable columns. Field names must match your table exactly. - 4
Activate and test
Click
Activatein the top-right of the canvas. Trigger a test feed item in RSS, then confirm it appears in Airtable. Once it works, you're done — every new feed item now flows through automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need any coding skills to set this up?
No. n8n is a visual, drag-and-drop tool. You connect your RSS and Airtable accounts, point the nodes at the right form/sheet/channel, map the fields, and activate. No code required.
What happens if my n8n workflow is off when a feed item comes in?
It depends on the source. Services like Stripe, Shopify and HubSpot retry webhook deliveries for a period, so events are processed once the workflow is back on. For the most reliable capture, run this on n8n Cloud (always online) or keep your self-hosted instance up.
Can I send each feed item to more than one place at once?
Absolutely. Branch the workflow after the Set node: connect it to multiple destination nodes so the same feed item lands in Airtable and, say, Slack or a spreadsheet simultaneously.
