  1. 1

    Add the Typeform Trigger node

Start with a Typeform Trigger node — connect your Typeform account and select the Form you want to watch. The node fires the moment someone completes it. This fires the workflow the moment a new response arrives.

  2. 2

Map the fields with a Set node

Add a Set node after the trigger to shape the data cleanly. Create fields: name to {{ $json.name }}, email to {{ $json.email }}, and submitted_at to {{ $now.toISO() }} — adjust the keys to match your form's question references. This turns the raw payload into tidy values your destination can use.

  3. 3

    Send it to Trello

Add a Trello node set to operation Create a card. Connect your Trello account, choose the Board and List, and set the card Name and Description from the Set-node fields.

  4. 4

    Activate and test

Click Activate in the top-right of the canvas. Trigger a test response in Typeform, then confirm it appears in Trello. Once it works, you're done — every new response now flows through automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need any coding skills to set this up?

No. n8n is a visual, drag-and-drop tool. You connect your Typeform and Trello accounts, point the nodes at the right form/sheet/channel, map the fields, and activate. No code required.

Can I filter which responses get sent to Trello?

Yes. Add an `IF` node between the Set node and the Trello node with a condition (for example, only send when an amount is above a threshold or a field equals a value). Wire the TRUE branch to Trello and leave FALSE empty to skip the rest.

Can I send each response to more than one place at once?

Absolutely. Branch the workflow after the Set node: connect it to multiple destination nodes so the same response lands in Trello and, say, Slack or a spreadsheet simultaneously.
