Auto-Backup Every Brevo Contact to Google Sheets

Never lose a Brevo contact again — this workflow copies every new one straight to Google Sheets, where it has Google Sheets append it as a new row in a spreadsheet as a standing backup.

difficulty Beginnersetup 25 minresult A hands-off n8n workflow where every relevant Brevo contact automatically reaches Google Sheets — append it as a new row in a spreadsheet.
  1. 1

    Fetch Brevo data

Add an HTTP Request node (or the native Brevo node if you have credentials set up) and point it at the Brevo API. Poll Brevo for new contacts. Add a Schedule Trigger before it if this recipe runs on a timer, or a Webhook node if Brevo can push events directly.

  2. 2

Shape the data with a Set node

Add a Set node after the fetch step to pull out the fields you need — e.g. id, title (or name), status, and updated_at from the Brevo contact. This keeps the rest of the workflow clean and readable.

  3. 3

Add a Google Sheets node set to operation Append Row. Connect your Google account, choose the Spreadsheet and Sheet, and map each field from the Set node to a matching column.

  4. 4

    Activate and test

Click Activate in the top-right corner. Trigger a real contact in Brevo (or run the workflow manually against existing data) and confirm it lands correctly in Google Sheets. Once verified, this runs hands-off.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to code anything?

No. n8n is a visual, drag-and-drop builder. You connect your Brevo and Google Sheets accounts, map the fields, and activate — no code required.

Where do I get my Brevo API credentials?

In your Brevo account settings, look for "API", "Developers" or "Integrations" and generate an API key or token. Paste it into n8n's HTTP Request node (as a header or credential) or the native Brevo node if one is available.

Can I filter which items trigger this workflow?

Yes. Add an `IF` node after the Set node with a condition on any field (status, amount, tag, etc.). Wire the TRUE branch to the Google Sheets step and leave FALSE empty to skip the rest.
