Urgent Capterra Review? Escalate to Airtable Immediately

This n8n workflow flags any high-priority Capterra review and has Airtable create a new record in Airtable right away, so nothing important sits unread.

difficulty Intermediatesetup 25 minresult A hands-off n8n workflow where every relevant Capterra review automatically reaches Airtable — create a new record in Airtable.
  1. 1

    Fetch Capterra data

Add an HTTP Request node (or the native Capterra node if you have credentials set up) and point it at the Capterra API. Poll Capterra for new reviews and filter for urgency. Add a Schedule Trigger before it if this recipe runs on a timer, or a Webhook node if Capterra can push events directly.

  2. 2

Shape the data with a Set node

Add a Set node after the fetch step to pull out the fields you need — e.g. id, title (or name), status, and updated_at from the Capterra review. This keeps the rest of the workflow clean and readable.

  3. 3

    Send it to Airtable

Add an Airtable node set to operation Create. Connect your token, pick the Base and Table, and map fields from the Set node.

  4. 4

    Activate and test

Click Activate in the top-right corner. Trigger a real review in Capterra (or run the workflow manually against existing data) and confirm it lands correctly in Airtable. Once verified, this runs hands-off.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to code anything?

No. n8n is a visual, drag-and-drop builder. You connect your Capterra and Airtable accounts, map the fields, and activate — no code required.

Where do I get my Capterra API credentials?

In your Capterra account settings, look for "API", "Developers" or "Integrations" and generate an API key or token. Paste it into n8n's HTTP Request node (as a header or credential) or the native Capterra node if one is available.

Can I filter which items trigger this workflow?

Yes. Add an `IF` node after the Set node with a condition on any field (status, amount, tag, etc.). Wire the TRUE branch to the Airtable step and leave FALSE empty to skip the rest.
