Daily Harvest Time entry Digest, Delivered to Airtable

Every morning, n8n pulls the day's Harvest time entrys, summarizes them, and has Airtable create a new record in Airtable — a clean daily digest with zero manual work.

difficulty Intermediatesetup 25 minresult A hands-off n8n workflow where every relevant Harvest time entry automatically reaches Airtable — create a new record in Airtable.
  1. 1

    Fetch Harvest data

Add an HTTP Request node (or the native Harvest node if you have credentials set up) and point it at the Harvest API. Run on a daily Schedule Trigger and fetch recent time entrys. Add a Schedule Trigger before it if this recipe runs on a timer, or a Webhook node if Harvest can push events directly.

  2. 2

Shape the data with a Set node

Add a Set node after the fetch step to pull out the fields you need — e.g. id, title (or name), status, and updated_at from the Harvest time entry. This keeps the rest of the workflow clean and readable.

  3. 3

    Send it to Airtable

Add an Airtable node set to operation Create. Connect your token, pick the Base and Table, and map fields from the Set node.

  4. 4

    Activate and test

Click Activate in the top-right corner. Trigger a real time entry in Harvest (or run the workflow manually against existing data) and confirm it lands correctly in Airtable. Once verified, this runs hands-off.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to code anything?

No. n8n is a visual, drag-and-drop builder. You connect your Harvest and Airtable accounts, map the fields, and activate — no code required.

Where do I get my Harvest API credentials?

In your Harvest account settings, look for "API", "Developers" or "Integrations" and generate an API key or token. Paste it into n8n's HTTP Request node (as a header or credential) or the native Harvest node if one is available.

Can I filter which items trigger this workflow?

Yes. Add an `IF` node after the Set node with a condition on any field (status, amount, tag, etc.). Wire the TRUE branch to the Airtable step and leave FALSE empty to skip the rest.
