Add the Stripe Trigger node
Start with a
Stripe Triggernode — connect your Stripe account with your API key as a credential, then setEventstopayment_intent.succeeded. Copy the webhook URL n8n shows and paste it into your Stripe Dashboard under Developers > Webhooks > Add Endpoint. This fires the workflow the moment a new payment arrives. - 2
Map the fields with a Set node
Add a
Setnode after the trigger to shape the data cleanly. Create fields:amountto{{ $json.data.object.amount_received / 100 }}(cents to dollars),emailto{{ $json.data.object.receipt_email }},payment_idto{{ $json.data.object.id }}, andcurrencyto{{ $json.data.object.currency }}. Send it to Slack
Add a
Slacknode set to operationSend Message. Connect your Slack workspace, choose theChannel, and set the messageTextto a summary built from the Set-node fields, e.g.New payment: {{ $json.email }}. - 4
Activate and test
Click
Activatein the top-right of the canvas. Trigger a test payment in Stripe, then confirm it appears in Slack. Once it works, you're done — every new payment now flows through automatically.
