Chargebee Invoice Updated? Auto-Sync It to Google Sheets

Whenever an existing Chargebee invoice changes, this n8n workflow detects it and has Google Sheets append it as a new row in a spreadsheet — keeping both tools in step automatically.

difficulty Beginnersetup 30 minresult A hands-off n8n workflow where every relevant Chargebee invoice automatically reaches Google Sheets — append it as a new row in a spreadsheet.
  1. 1

    Fetch Chargebee data

Add an HTTP Request node (or the native Chargebee node if you have credentials set up) and point it at the Chargebee API. Poll Chargebee for invoice changes. Add a Schedule Trigger before it if this recipe runs on a timer, or a Webhook node if Chargebee can push events directly.

  2. 2

Shape the data with a Set node

Add a Set node after the fetch step to pull out the fields you need — e.g. id, title (or name), status, and updated_at from the Chargebee invoice. This keeps the rest of the workflow clean and readable.

  3. 3

Add a Google Sheets node set to operation Append Row. Connect your Google account, choose the Spreadsheet and Sheet, and map each field from the Set node to a matching column.

  4. 4

    Activate and test

Click Activate in the top-right corner. Trigger a real invoice in Chargebee (or run the workflow manually against existing data) and confirm it lands correctly in Google Sheets. Once verified, this runs hands-off.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to code anything?

No. n8n is a visual, drag-and-drop builder. You connect your Chargebee and Google Sheets accounts, map the fields, and activate — no code required.

Where do I get my Chargebee API credentials?

In your Chargebee account settings, look for "API", "Developers" or "Integrations" and generate an API key or token. Paste it into n8n's HTTP Request node (as a header or credential) or the native Chargebee node if one is available.

Can this run on a schedule instead of in real time?

Yes — swap the trigger for a `Schedule Trigger` set to whatever interval fits (every 15 minutes, hourly, daily). The rest of the workflow stays the same.
