Auto-Backup Every G2 Review to Email

    Fetch G2 data

    Add an HTTP Request node (or the native G2 node if you have credentials set up) and point it at the G2 API. Poll G2 for new reviews. Add a Schedule Trigger before it if this recipe runs on a timer, or a Webhook node if G2 can push events directly.

    Shape the data with a Set node

    Add a Set node after the fetch step to pull out the fields you need — e.g. id, title (or name), status, and updated_at from the G2 review. This keeps the rest of the workflow clean and readable.

    Send it to Email

    Add a Gmail node set to operation Send. Connect your Google account and set To, Subject and Message from the Set-node fields.

    Activate and test

    Click Activate in the top-right corner. Trigger a real review in G2 (or run the workflow manually against existing data) and confirm it lands correctly in Email. Once verified, this runs hands-off.

Do I need to code anything?

No. n8n is a visual, drag-and-drop builder. You connect your G2 and Email accounts, map the fields, and activate — no code required.

Where do I get my G2 API credentials?

In your G2 account settings, look for "API", "Developers" or "Integrations" and generate an API key or token. Paste it into n8n's HTTP Request node (as a header or credential) or the native G2 node if one is available.

Can I filter which items trigger this workflow?

Yes. Add an `IF` node after the Set node with a condition on any field (status, amount, tag, etc.). Wire the TRUE branch to the Email step and leave FALSE empty to skip the rest.
