Snapshot Your Total Shopify Inventory Value Every Week for Cash-Flow Planning

Most merchants have no idea how much cash is tied up in stock until it's a problem. This workflow totals your inventory at cost every week — overall and by product type — and logs it so you can see capital creeping up before it strangles cash flow.

Frequently asked questions

Where does cost come from?

Shopify stores unit cost per variant if you fill in the 'Cost per item' field. If you don't, the workflow can read cost from a mapping sheet instead.

Why by product type too?

The total tells you there's a problem; the breakdown tells you where. Usually one category is quietly hoarding your cash.
